Grammie J's Graham Cracker Pie

Purchase a 9 inch graham cracker pie crust or use the following recipe:

1 Pack of graham crackers (22 crackers total — put in plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin)
¼ cup of sugar
¾ stick of butter/margarine melted

Combine the ingredients into a pie pan and bake in a 375° F oven for 5 minutes.

Pie filling mixture:
4 Egg Yolks (Save the Egg whites for topping)
1/3 C flour
2/3 C Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
¼ C of milk

Mix the above ingredients together and set aside until the next step is complete.

Pour 2 Cups of milk into a pot and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and stir in the above ingredients. Stir until it thickens.

Topping:
Beat the four egg whites until they being to stiffen. Add ¼ Cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of Vanilla. Continue to beat until the egg white mixture stands up.

Pour the pie filling into the pie crust and fluff the topping onto the filling. Bake in 425° F oven for 3-4 minutes, just long enough for the topping to brown slightly.
